A year ago I traveled to Haiti to spread the good news with a team from my church. Today, another small group made the trek to Port-au-Prince, so I decided to share some of my photos. We played with children, fed street boys, handed out candy and treats, street evangelized, passed out tracks, and spread the word about Christ. We were lucky to have some really handy construction men on our team who were able to create cabinets and benches for an orphanage and school. My French really came in handy despite the slight creole language barrier. The children were adorable. And despite living in such terrible living conditions (often without enough food or water), they were upbeat and wonderful. I can't get over the last photo - the girl on the left never stopped smiling. Not once did I feel unsafe, the Lord's presence was with the team and me, even with the widespread presence of voodoo.
